Web Map Application (WMA) of Clark University Campus Map, Clark University 09/2015-12/2015
- Used Google Maps API to develop a WMA by HTML & CSS & JavaScript. The WMA allowed user to 1) display on-campus points of interest and off-campus facilities, such as academic building, escort service area and nearby food places; 2) search route between on-campus buildings, or from off-campus location to a certain building; 3) click the polygon or type the building name in the search box to query detailed information of on-campus buildings.
Implementation of Local Moran’s Correlation Coefficient Tool for ArcGIS Users, Clark University 02/2015-04/2015
- Developed a new ArcTool that users could use it in ArcMap by python. Wrote scripts based on equation of LMCC and enabled users to select input data (shapefile), xand y variables, spatial weight matrix type and output path.

- Predicted Sea Level Rise for three emission scenarios (Balanced, Technology & Fossil Fuel) and determined possible areas which would be flooded by the projected rise. Ascertained projected trends in land cover change for 2100 and discovered which urban land use type would be impacted the most based on the sea level rise and estimated population affected.
Exploring Spatial Relationship between Coal Industry Activity and Lung Cancer, Clark University 02/2015-04/2015
- Conducted a county-level analysis to determine whether there is a correlation between lung cancer rates and coal industry activity in eastern U.S.A, and determined the extent which socioeconomic data (smoking rate, physical inactivity rate and children in poverty rate) has explanatory power for lung cancer rates.

- Worked as a technical contributor in producing detailed environmental pollution map for Szechwan Province that correlates industrial pollutant distribution, locations of the factories producing these pollutants, and products from these factories. The map could be used for example in assisting the prediction of future pollutant distribution after earthquakes.
